Chapel Hill, North Carolina - English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City FC suffered a 4-3 defeat against Scottish Premier League champions Celtic F.C. in their pre-season match at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill on Tuesday.

Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but City responded with a goal from Tommy Doyle just five minutes later. Furuhashi struck again in the 34th minute to give Celtic the lead, which was extended by Jota in the 40th minute.

Manchester City fought back in the second half, with Julián Álvarez scoring in the 66th minute and Riyad Mahrez equalizing in the 78th minute. However, Celtic's Giorgos Giakoumakis secured the victory for the Scottish side with a goal in the 87th minute.
